Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
